will the 2005 colorado have any changes from the 2004 model.

no telling, it's probably way too early to find out.

 

If there are any changes, I'd think they may put disc brakes on the back. That's more of a hope than a probably will.

It's too early to tell. The Colorados just came out a few months ago. I would guess that there are no changes since it is a brand new vehicle.

The 2005 Colorado will go unchanged from the 2004 model year Colorado. The only change will be made in the paint department. Indigo Blue will be deleted and replaced by Superior Blue. Also, traction control will now be required on 2wd models when the locking differential is ordered.

A 4.8L V8 Option is my vote for 2005 additions.

 

Seriously why they didnt put a V8 into these things is beyond me. For those of us like myself that want a truck for relatively light duty like towing a smallish trailer/ hauling this or that in the bed, etc but do not want/dont have the room for a full-size truck the mid-size totally fits that niche.

 

I've test driven two Colorado/Canyons, one with an auto/I5/Crewcab, the other a Man/I4/Reg Cab, they definatly had some power on tap, but I'd hate to drive one with ANYTHING more than a few pieces of camping equipment in the box.

 

THE main competitor to these trucks is the Dakota and it has 3 V8 options. I'm seriously contemplating buying a Dakota next just because of that, even though I prefer the styling of the Colorado and I've been a GM guy all my life.
