I'm finally getting a new engine for my Blazer!!!

Yeah, I've got a 91 S-10 blazer, 4wd. Had close to 200k on it, and I found out "the hard way" that it loooooooved to burn up oil, of course not that helped

Anyways, George, the guy who does all of our Sprint Car engine work, rebuilt a 4.3, ground up. New valves, crankshaft, cam (I'm HOPIN an aftermarket cam ), rods, EVERYTHING from what my dad said. Aaaaaaand I THINK I heard my dad say Gerorge went ahead and ported the manifold and heads that'd be KICKASSSICK!!!!! I guess it's already done, so when my mom sends me the check to havr Rick drop the new motor in, I'll finally have er back! I love driving Big Red of course, but those little SUV's and cars are a blast to drive too! AAAND I'm waiting too see what kind of power that lil 4.3 is gonna pout out IF George rele did all that

I had a good day too...by the end of the weekend there is a chance another black Ranger could be in the driveway...a 2000 Trailhead edition V6 (not sure if its 3.0 or 4.0 yet) manual...keeping my fingers crossed and hoping it works out. If we get this (or the white XL we are also looking at), it will be mine.

We've kinda been throwing around the idea of a 4.3 in my Celica thats is limping on no more than 3 cylinders, but I think I can fit a small block in it.

 

I just don't have the time to fab motor and tranny mounts, or the money to buy a small block and either a T-5 or a T-56 to go in it.
