Does This Wheel info Sound Right?

Bolt Pattern: 5x127 (5x5); Offset: -20 to 20mm; Rims: up to 22x8.5.

I was wondering if this is right for a 1996 Silverado Reg. Cab Stepside 1/2 ton before i try to buy some new wheels.

hmm...I have a 94. I don't know exactly what it is, but that does look to be about right. If it helps any, I'm switching from stock wheels to Tahoe Limiteds (16x7) and they fit just fine..

Yes, those are the correct specs. I am not sure all the COMBINATIONS within this range will fit: i.e. if it is an 8.5" rim, running npsitive offset of 20mm and a wider tire, then you may get some full turn rubbing of the tire in the fender wheel. In other words, you may need a 20mm negative offset (moves the rim 20mm farther OUT from the half point of 4.25") with the wider rim.

Also, keep in mind the WEIGHT of the wheels. Those cheap chinese wheels can be 50+ pounds compared to the high quality Centerline wheels of 26 lbs in the same size. This weight is called UNSPRUNG weight and can ruin the ride if too high. Some good quality shocks like Bilsteins can help with this extra weight.

Check out the clearance wheels at www.centerlinewheels.com. You may find their high quality, USA made, lightweight, strong wheels are just as cheap as the ugly, chrome junk from China.

Just did a quick check: Centerline 22", weighing in at 34 lbs., selling for $269 on their clearance page. Tirerack 22" rims, $269-$340, 44+ lbs.
