fule pump whine

I have a very annoying whine coming from the drivers side area between the cab and bed on my 2000 Silverado. Is this the infamous fuel pump whine? What should I do about it? I have noticed it occassionally the last couple years or so, but it has become nearly constant lately.

I would start by changing your fuel filter. An increase in whine is usually bc of higher pressure that is caused by a clogged filter.

My 02 has whined since I got it. And I have put two fuel filters in it.

Yeah, I have changed the fuel filte as well. I did not hear it this morning.

Just run straight pipes, you won't hear the fuel pump whining anymore.
