Lifted Trucks & Towing

I two 5-7k on a bi-weekly basis. The lift doesnt affect the towing ability. BUT, what does is the larger tires. When you put larger tires on, it will make your effective gear ratio higher. I have 4.10's from the factory. But with 36's my ratio is around 3.6x something.

Towing with the lift and bigger tires added traction, especially off road. I didnt notice any significant power decrease, just a little. But I only tow about 8,000 pounds. I can see a problem if you have a fifth wheel because the bed is so much higher.

Then you do an axle flip on the trailor and your good to go!

For some reason I have feeling that my cows would become a tad difficult to load then.....

We have enough trouble getting them in as it is.
