Whats a vortec? Isn't that made by ford or somthing? And how come nobody around here has found out the real horsepower and torque gains come from running 50:1?

Vortec is the name GM gives that class of engines based primarly on the head design of them. Not sure what you mean by 50:1?

Come on guys, you can't take Cool Zr2 too seriously.... he likes to zing a few out there and see if anyone is awake and will bite...

 

I do think a 50:1 compression ratio will produce HP and torque gains if you can find the diesel fuel that will take it.....and get those 10 bolt mains installed....

And thats a 50:1 oil mix, not compression.
