This might sound weird to you but on one side of my 2002 TB, you see an LT badge and on the other side of the vehicle, you see an LS badge.

Now, I know I bought an LT. With all the standard features in the car, it surely does seem like an LT to me. It's even priced as an LT.

The question is ... Is it actually an LT or LS?

Does your LT or LS has both badges on it?

Help a confused man ... Before I snap!

I really hope it's just an assembley error  ???

As for the question about a paint job or anything, well, not that I know of. I bought the car brand-new from the GM dealer just a little over a month ago and I just noticed it to be honest.

Next time I go to dealer's service center for my 5000km service (by next week most probably), I will check other TBs especially the ones in the showroom and see. If only my TB has that, then it surely raises an eyebrow. If all of them are like that, I'd feel a bit better. In both cases, I'll ask them about it and maybe update this post ;)

I'm sure it's no big deal.

Do you still have the window sticker? Sometimes they put it in the glove box.

It is possible it had some body work at the dealer, but more than likely the plant slapped the wrong emblem on the truck...err sorry...SUV ;)

Does your truck have leather seats on one side and cloth on the other?  (just kidding.)  This reminds me of the stories of the Chrysler product someone bought that said Aspen on one side and Volare on the other.

The wrong sticker is probibly what happened. It has happened befor and will happen again.

Check this out. My Dad is a GMC dealer. He was driving a GMC Suburban as a demo years ago, before the GMC Suburban became the Yukon XL, it had GMC badging on the driver's side, and Chevy badging on the passenger side. The Suburban was right from the factory. If the LT / LS thing bothers you, just show your dealer and they can order you the other LT badge and make the change. Mistakes do happen.

I have a 1999 Blazer.  The emblem on the drivers side had a silver bowtie, but the passenger side had a gold bowtie to match the grille and tailgate emblem.

I just removed them and ordered new silver ones for both sides, replced the grille one with an aluminum one, and removed the tailgate emblems.

If you really want to be certain there are no major problems, check the vin on the doors. on GM's now, all major body panels have a vin sticker on them.  The front door vins are by the hinges, and the rear door vins are on the rear by the wheel well area. =o) im sure its just a screw up, but if you want to make sure.... (as for me, I dont remember where they were, mine are all removed...)
