Spark plugs and wires

The truck currently has Champion copper spark plugs and 7.5mm plug wires.

Are the plugs and wires more than adequite for the truck?

I have a '97 5.7L GMC K1500 Z71.

if it runs well then yes if it doesn't run well then no. most vehicles now a days will work just fine with any brand of spark plug, I've never noticed a performance increase as a result of a certain brand of spark plugs.

I really like the Bosch Platinum +4 spark plugs. Made a nice difference in my Jeep, even over the one year old standard Bosch Platinum plugs.

When I change mine, they will be those.

7.5mm isn't too bad, but 8mm or 8.5 mm are good if you upgrade the ignition.

I've heard that the Bosche's are not as good in American trucks as some of the other, american brands, bc they burn to hot and american trucks don't like this? Is this true? I know when it comes to my Volvo's the are some of the best.

I was always told hotter was better when it came to spark.
