Transmission troubles etc..

I have an 89 C1500 with the 350 and the TH 700(I think) transmission. The trans was rebuilt about 2.5 years ago and has only had about 10K miles since then. The problem is that sometimes it does not want to shift and revs really high, and when it does shift it does so very hard ( it has spun tires going into second gear). The fluid was changed about 2 months ago again, and it seemed to do little to change anything. Every linkage seems to be connected. If you need more details on the truck let me know. Anyone have any ideas on what to do?

 

 

On another vehicle, 85 Pontiac 6000 with the 2.5L Iron Duke, it's loosing coolant very fast. I've put stop leak in but that doesn't seem to do much. I've seen that the same engine was put in some trucks, so I thought I'd try here. Any ideas on this, or any forum that you could point me to on this problem?
