Tahoe/Avalanche DRL Illuminated Entry

Anybody know how to get a 99-02 Silverado to do the thing where when you hit Unlock on the key fob, the DRL's and reverse lights come on, like the Tahoe/Avalanche/03+ trucks?

Welcome to the forum. Unfortunately, that feature is only available to the '03 and '04's. Not capable on '99-'02 unless you can do custom electronics patch. Also on the '03 and '04 this feature is available only with the steering wheel controls or custom controls.

Having the thing light up like a Christmas tree gets old after a while anyway. Not so bad with the amber DRLs though. It is fun to scare people in a parking lot. They think you're backing up and slam on the brakes.

You could use the output on the keyless entry to trigger realys you put in the DRL circuit. Would be a pretty easy mod.
