I've gotten mine from intercontinental warranty. We've had them on cars since 1994 and they've backed and paid everything without any questions.

On my 98 grand am, we totaled it up last week and they've paid over $9,000 in warranty work @ the dealer. You surely cant beat the price of $1500 for the warranty. Covers 72 months and up to 100,000 miles.

I'll be getting it for my truck as well.

They're backed by travlers insurance group, which is AAA. They arent going anywhere.

I got really f___ed by Warranty Gold. Do some searching on them and you'll see. I paid $1300 for a warranty, 2 months later they're bankrupt.

I should have gone with Intercontinental.

I had one (Intercontinental sounds familar) but they didn't cover the repair due to what they claim as "wear and tear". I told them that is how valve guides break, they don't explode, but they still didn't honor it. One of the true tests is how they cover wear and tear. GMPP covers it and you know GM will be there tomorrow...

i'm with bigdogs - gmpp. i never had any hassle at all with my gmpp. in fact, the service manager at the dealership where i go was telling me that they (a very large dealership) makes you pay for the repairs up front if you have an aftermarket warranty. then you need to deal with the warranty company for getting reimbursed. they had so many problems getting paid that they wont deal with it anymore...

There is another good point, you may have to pay up front or wait for them to pay the dealer/shop before you can get your car, too much of a hassle for me...

I was contacted by three differant companies wanting to sell me an extended warranty. I went to the dealer and they have a sign on the wall that says they don't accept extended warranties from anyone except GM.

Not surprised. Some put are also real picky what they cover or don't like seals and gaskets and put caps on the limit they will pay etc... No Thanks GMPP is the only one I would have on a GM car.
