Mirror compass

The compass in my mirror is all screwed up....It says "CAL" vertically next to the direction indicator...I am assuming it means calibrate....because when I go west, it says every direction other than west. Any idea what would cause this? It worked fine yesterday, and today it was screwed???

 

Oh yeah, almost forgot, any idea how to fix it??

I think you'll find the calibration method in your owner's manual.

 

I thin you hold both buttons for 10-15 seconds until a number appears, then select the number of the zone you live in by pressing one of the buttons until your zone number appears.

I just moved, and it seems to have been "misplaced" in all the confusion. I'll try stuff till it works

 

EDIT-THis morning the compass is fine???? Must have been some sort of alien anomoly
