New Project for the DIC Guys

Ok guys you did a fantastic job of figuring out how to get the DIC (Driver Information Center) to work for the guys who don't have steering wheel controls.............. OK NOW NEXT PROJECT !! :P

I have the steering wheel controls, power driver seat, and the DIC and "Driver 1" and "Driver 2" remotes but my truck is an SLE (LS ) the SLT (LT) trucks simply have 2 buttons that allow you to program the 2 remotes with different seat and mirrow settings, since I'm 6'1" and the wife is 4'10" it would be great to program the system to adjust these 2 settings like the SLT \ LT trucks, I would think that the program would be there and would just need to have the proper buttons and maybe a BCM flash ???

Your mission (should you decide to accept it) is to figure this one out

Afraid this is a bail-out one for me. I tried unsuccessfully, along with Van's Chevrolet in north Dallas, to try to get the Curb View option to pop in, but no luck. Definitely some module stuff is not installed which I think is related to your project.

You need to find a dealer who is willing to play a bit.

Hmm that's weird...I just had all my DIC steering wheel install stuff done at the dealer and there is a curb assist option on my DIC....and I never even asked them to turn that on...

I have to agree with you. my wife is 5'3" and I am 6'4". It takes me all of 15 minutes to get the seat back to where I can drive it. It is too the point of you don't touch my truck and I will not touch her Jeep. But if this could be done that would be INCREDIBLE!!!!!

Do you have the power folding mirrors? I heard the curb assist requires the power folding (not just power adjusting) mirrors.

The bad news is that the memory seats have internal position sensors build into the adjuster motors that communicate with the drivers seat memory module (under the drivers seat cushion) along with the door panel switches and the wiring.

So, to do this upgrade you would need new seats (or at least the the adjuster assembly) the memory module, the wiring, and the switches.
