how do i check the trans fluid on my 00 chevy obs nv4500. ive had a ford for ever and it had a bolt you unscrew on the side. i didnt see any on my chevy like that,

Manual or Auto tranny?

 

DUH nv4500, I should open my eyes when I read

 

There's a plug ,just above and to the left of the drain plug on the passenger side of the tranny if I remember correctly

thanks ill check tommorow the plug was on the right on the ford

The plugs,fill and drain, should have a 3/8" square in them for a 3/8 ratchet or extesion, similar to the fill plug on the rear axle.
