Extendable towing mirrors

I have a 2004 sierra Z71 with the extendable towing mirrors and I HATE them. Does any one know if the standard mirrors will plug in and bolt up and work if I were to find a pair of the standard mirrors? If they will, any leads to where I can find some standard mirrors would be helpful! THANKS

Those extendable mirrors can be kinda wide even when all the way in!

But to anwser your question,Yes the standard mirrors will work but you may need to go to your dealer and have them reprogram your truck for the other mirrors.

Also what extendable mirrors do you have? The pwr.in/out with turn-signal or the std.manual ones? And what mirrors do you want to go with? Just the pwr.heated ones or the pwr.fold heated ones with turn-signal? All kinds of choices

I agree. We have a 2500HD at work with those @#$%^!! extendable mirrors. They suck! They are mounted too far back, and when extended they make you lean even further back to see out of them. And don't forget the "who da heck cut this glass?" convex mirrors. Sheesh. I should think any stock mirror from a GM similar truck should work. Too bad the Ford extendable mirrors won't fit. The super duty mirrors are sweet.

I have the power in/out heated mirrors with the turn signal and I'm looking for the heated power fold mirrors with the signal in them.

those things are pretty cool, even with pics when driving 50 mph down the highway , one set of mirrors i really liked were the dodge mirrors, the ones that flip up and down, they give it that beefy look and the mirrors worked sweet too, not too sure about fitment issues though

Yep, No problem they will work,as I said earlier all you have to do once you plug them in and bolt them on is have your dealer reproggram the BCM from mirror option code DPF to option code DL3.

I would try to find a set of mirrors on E-Bay,you can find some good deals on there and maybe someone took off a set to put the camper mirrors on so you might be able to get a deal!

I would't mind taken the manual ones off your hands if you are going to replace them. Let me know what you want for them. Are they power adj. and manual ext?
