I wish...

OK, my truck came with Bose speakers and I was pretty jazzed about that... but I find myself wishing they gave more bass and were less bright (after adjusting the bass/treble controls)... I wish Klipsch made car speakers. I never liked Bose for home speakers for the same reason, and I guess they carried the same sound over into their car speakers. Oh well, they are still better than the speakers I had in my 97 Z71.

It's late, I can't sleep, and I'm just rambling...

Klipsch are some of the "brightest" speakers that money can buy...If you think your Bose were bright (I would never use this term to describe a Bose product) why would you think that you would like Klipsch in there?

That said...I would pay mucho $$ to get Klipsch in the truck.

I was going to say that as well. I have a pair of RF3II's for the fronts. RC3II for the center, 4 RS3II's for the surrounds and KSW15 for the sub and like how they sound but they are known as bright speakers. I have the Bose system in my truck as well and it sounds good enough for me. If I want to really crank it and feel it I can listen to it at home..

Wow, I have Klipsch for center, main, Sub and all surrrounds, they are not as bright as any Bose I've heard in the test rooms. The Klipsch may be bright, but only when they should be bright, they don't make everything bright like Bose - the sound from the Klipsch is just more realistic and... bigger. But I agree, the Bose is good enough for car speakers. I guess I would like my home sound in my truck - but that is too muh to ask for

what do you mean by "bright"? never heard it used in terms of speakers, my best guess would of been they were neon green or some thing.

Bright in speakers refers to the sound being rather "tinny", and not very realistic. There can be "good" brightness where it is needed like clearly hearing the high-hat in a drum set, or the tamborine when listening to someone like Fleetwood Mac, etc. But when everything sounds too bright, it just sucks.
