I am trying to sell my 96 Tahoe. It is an LT 4x4 model in good condition with 155k miles. I am asking $6500 which I feel is fair but was willing to take $6000.

So, here is my delima. I have a guy that is offering me $5000. I tried to counter with $5500 with no success. I have checked kbb & nada and still think that my price is fair. Anyone have any suggestions? Am I too proud of my truck?

thanks for the help.

how much is the trade in value of the truck?

If you can't sell the truck for more than what you will save on Tax trading it in, its not worth it.

based on that, I dont' know what the trade in value is for your truck, but do the math... I'm sure someone will take it off your hands

Good Luck

I had a '96 Tahoe that I gave to my son a year ago because he needed a truck and I was getting a new one. It had 270,000 on it when I gave it to him and has just over 300,000 on it today and running strong. These trucks just keep running. If I was selling a Tahoe with 150,000 and it was in excellent condition, I wouldn't accept anything under medium to high book (unless I needed the cash in a hurry!)

Well, deal fell through...

We settled on a price & when came over to pick it up was when he noticed it didn't have 3rd row seats. Man was I peaved. But, what do you expect when he NEVER test drove it.
