New Avalanche, New Member

Well I wasn't sure if I would regret trading in my 99 z71 silverado xcab for this new avalanche but after 2 weeks of driving it, its awesome. Hope milage and performance can be enhanced to match the silverado.

Here I am. I have had my Av for one month today. I already have put on 2300 miles. No problems for my Av yet. The best part is that it is on zero financing and I haven`t recieved a payment book.

Although I did call the dealer and he told me where to send my check. ??? Oh well. Just 35 more payments.

I hope you enjoy yours as much as I have been mine.

I am now seeing more and more AV's on the road where I live. I got mine in August and felt like I was the only kid on the block for the longest time.

Darn-it! I think people are starting to "Catch-On". Oh well, something this good can only stay secret for so long.

Welcome from a newbie also. Love mine so far. Just finished washing it tonight at the local carwash. Only had a few quarters and the big Avy needs lots of quarters to give it full bath!!

This forum is certainly the best place to learn all kinds of cool and important stuff that comes only from lots of dedicated individuals posting and replying.

I am also new to this site and I am very impressed.

Have had the Avalanche for about 6 months now and have almost 11,000 miles on it........ and I absolutely love it. :love: :love:

The only problem I have had is that my fuel guage got amnesia for about two tanks on long trip but then fixed itself.

Anyway Welcome to smarti2 and also fellow newbies timcosco and SirLanchelot.

SirLanchelot... Our trucks sound Identical ! (I also have a set of Manik Stainless Nerf Bars coming)

I was a guest until today and officially joined the "club" yesterday, took delivery of a Pewter Z66 Avalanche. Using this and other forums helped me to make the right decision.

Welcome to the BB. I got my AV just before Christmas and have no regrets. Right now it is full of lumber for a project.

Startled an Explorer owner when he saw that 4X8 sheet of plywood completely disappear into my AV. Actually drove over and looked inside the AV to be sure he had seen correctly.

Hey WestexAlanche--

Great to hear your good news about your truck. Looks like you are putting some serious miles on. I have only about 500 and seem to worry everyday that I will peer into the pass. mirror and see that dreaded blue smoke pestering many owners.

How do you like the Tan interior? I first started to buy an Av in October and I specifically wanted Tan interior. And to get the special fin. rates it had to come out of dealer inventory. Well to make a long story short the dealer could not work out any deals with other dealers to bring a black with tan to him. Dealer said the Tan was not popular at all. I wanted it so much I went ahead and ordered one and it came in in time to get the special rates.
