What do you guys think of the look of my pipe exits?

My current setup on a 2001 2500HD 6.0L 4x4:

Stock headers, stock cats, true duals to 2-IMCO CM-101 mufflers out to mandrel bent pipes exiting to 3.5" 18" stainless steel slash tips.

Would have taken the underneath guts pics, but it was way too wet...

I was going for a slightly hidden look, I don’t like too much pipe showing and didn't want the standard straight out the back or a 45 right off the corner of the bumper. Nothing too showy, but you know its there.

Sounds REALLY deep, totally quiet at highway cruise, but a beast at WOT. A little droan, but a lot better than the single I had before. I'm not sure if I lost any low end, but an x-pipe may be on the way...

That's one of the cleanest exhaust installs I've seen. Now you've got me thinking about duals instead of simply adding a single 22" Magnaflow...

Nice job. By far the best looking exhaust yet. Doesnt distract from the looks of your truck, only enhances overall. If I remember, you ran the twin IMCO's side by side in the stock location exiting via the stock tail pipe. How does this system compare to the new "true dual" system, my biggest concern being the DRONE factor. Please post some underneath pics to show system routing. Fantastic job and thanks for sharing with us!

Looks great...

Would love to see pics from under the truck as well. It is good that you were able to find a shop that does Mandrel bending. I don't think this is to common for most exhaust shops...

You are correct! That’s me. I still have the IMCO's, this was just the next step. I just had them remove everything after the mufflers and put on the dual pipes. Believe it or not, the dual pipes made the exit sound louder, duh huh? But it also took some of the droan away. Seeing it didn't go back into one pipe at the rear, I think it let the mufflers breath better. So now I don’t get a bad droan when the engine downshifts as I slow down. It's still there at certain speeds and at certain RPM's, but not as bad as before. Granted I have only put on 50 miles since I had it done, but it does give me an idea.

I hope to get some pics up if it ever dries out around here. Heck, I haven't even been able to crawl under to take a look myself. I'll probably take some sound clips if I have time tonight though.

And thanks for all the great comments! The exhaust guy was grumpy when I picked it up, seems it was a b!tch to do. But he did it exactly the way I wanted it.
