Sirius added tonight

Yep, added an Alpine CDA 9830 a couple of months ago with XM controls but heard from friends in the know that Sirius seemed better. The final straw for me was this past friday when Houston's only acutal non classic rock station changed format to Latino. I knew then and there I'd be going satellite very soon.

 

I managed to pick up one of the Alpine specific recievers for the Sirius network (Alpines are generally XM ready, as was my 9830) and it worked perfectly with my stereo controls. It was installed at around 3:50 pm CST and hooked up literally seconds later. I'm now officially kicking myself in the a$$ for not having done it sooner because it definitely blows the locals away.

 

I do have WMA converting software which I will be using on my CD catalogue before long and between that and the satellite addition, I doubt I'll listen to the locals much from now on. This truly is radio heaven.
