Mobil1 Cap and Decal

question ,for those of you that switched to mobil1 oil filler cap and added the mobil1 decal, where did u place the mobil1 decal. not sure where the best place to put the decal, in the engine bay

I put mine on the passenger's side firewall, about an inch beneath the cowl. It's to the left of the engine when you're standing at the grille looking at it. There's a flat spot there where it fits perfectly. Unfortunately, I don't have any pics yet.

Got mine on ebay...the decal is actually more like an emblem! Really nice lookin...the cap is actually factory equipment on the Corvette.

i was sure all u guys would know, that why i came to you guys

well heres the parts number

the cap and emblem is what they put on the vettes

gm 12555685 -cap

gm 10236268- emblem

btw there r two types of cap, 1 with the color on the mobil1 , and one that is black and white only

also i just went to the dealer, they had them both, i paid 8 bucks for the cap, and like 11 bucks for the emblem

if i get a chance this weekend ill take some pics

yep, i needed 2 caps, the one i bought was just black and white, had the mrs stop by another dealership , she got one with color.

so now tomorrowi'm gonna go get another one with color on it.

Anyone know if this will work on a 2000 4.3L engine? I run Mobil1 and would LOVE to add this, on the off-chance I can't do an oil change myself. I know, I could always just snag up a decal to put under the hood but having the cap would be ultra-sweet and unique on some of the sites I visit.

I've had the cap for a while, but always wondered if the sticker would fit in that spot or not. Now that I know I'll get one, after I paint the cover first.
