Differiantial Fluid

I have a chevy silverado half ton, 4 wheel drive with differiantial lock, I know the manual says you never need to change the fluid, but what do you guys recommend. I sometimes tow my lawnmower and trailer, but thats about it. Any help would greatly be appreciated.

I changed mine at around 22,000 miles and took a few pictures.  One of them shows the junk that is collected on the magnet inside the diff.

I agree with Tom, there really is no set date. However its a good idea to change it and get out the "break-in" fluid. As you will see from Toms pictures you will have some shavings to deal with so don't be alarmed. PS use synthetic in the rear with no additive for locking rear required.
