Upgraded Alternators

Where'd everyone purchase their upgraded alternators from? How much did it cost and how many amps can it put out?

 

Have a Thunder1004 I'm gonna put in. Can draw over 150amps and they specify to ONLY use 1/0 gauge wire lol. They say that an alternator and/or battery upgrade is in order, just wanna see what my options are.

I know Ohio Generators makes some good high quality alternators.

 

A guy named Dominick Iraggi (615-287-7991) also makes good alternators, and he is well know in the SPL competition circuit.

My Current Alt On My Van Is 160 amps But I Have One In My Room That Is Around 260 I Think... I Got It From Napa!!! Its Actaully Very Big

Sorry to be posting on a thread so old, but I had a 180 amp alternator from http://www.4alterstart.com/ found them on ebay a long time ago and snatched up the deal they had going on. The alternator was on my 97 s-10 and it lasted FOREVER.

 

A bunch of guys on the s10 forums i was in purchased them too and never heard any complaints out of any of them.

 

I talked w/ Patrick a lot and he was extremely helpful. If I need an alt for my fullsize, they are the first people I am going to call.
