MOTOR CUT OUT ON 2002 SUB

2002 SUB CUTS OUT LET IT SET THEN IT RESTARTS AND RUNS A WHILE HAVE NEW FUEL FILTER BUT NOT SURE ABOUT HOW TO REPLACE. ANY ADVICE?

replacing the fuel filter is a pretty easy job. it is located on the driver's side somewhere around the area between the front and back doors. what you have to do is use an open-end wrench to loosen the nuts on each end, then slide the ends of the lines out of hte filter. have a rag or a few handy. sometimes a bit of fuel will leak out. good luck. also, a haynes manual always helps.

also, not sure how many miles you have on it, but it could be the fuel pump is going? i've read that the fuel pumps are a problem on these vehicles.
