Be careful of the lift. The 2dr Tahoe is a shooooooort wheelbase, the higher you go the more unstable you will be. be careful in height. Other than that, there is a lot you can do, more power, lift, etc. the sky is the limit, or you deep pockets will set the limit.

Man, I love those 2-door Tahoes...that's what I was trying to get in 99 when I bought my truck, but it was just out of my price range at the time. There's a bunch of things that can be done to that truck, all of the typical bolt-ons (Cold air intake, exhaust), computer tuning, gears...I'd definitely add an auxilary trans cooler too, cheap and easy mod. Higher performance mods...cam, nitrous, etc. Of course there's all of the numerous suspension companies who make lifts and what not, bigger wheels, tires, etc. Asthetically, the possibilities are endless...aftermarket hoods, bumpers, grilles, step bars, interior components such as custom seat covers, etc. You're basically only limited by what you intend to use the truck for and the size of your wallet. :smash:

Do a Google search on truck accessories and the like, and buy a couple of Truckin', 4Wheel and Off Road, etc. magazines and you'll find a bunch in a hurry. Also check out Summit Racing, Jeg's, TruckPerformance.com, StylinConcepts.com, and all of those guys, and I'm sure you'll have a wish list long enough to last a few Christmas's!! :D

I have a 98 Tahoe. I love it. Lots of power! I pull a trailer with my ATV and generator, pushmower, cooler, propane and gas tanks and all other camping stuff when I go to camp and if I gun it up a hill, it will still kick you back in the seat. I added a Cold Air Intake to mine. Does eat gas though. Not sure what the MPG is because I have 33x12.50's so it says 10-11 but I know its probally 12 since the speedo/odo is off. The only problem with mine is I had leaks, water pump, rear main seal, trans to driveshaft seal, front diff. to drive shaft seal(forgot what their called). Intake leaked. And one year during the storms the rain leaked in through somewhere but fixed it. I have 13*,000 miles on mine and it feels like a new engine still. I service it a lot though. As far as rail go, in my opinion go with running boards that came stock on some Tahoes! They look better plus if you get a body lift, they will hide the frames a lot better than a step rail.
