Suburban Head-Unit

Tried to remove my 2003 Suburban HU so I could direct-connect my Sirius radio. The HU has the built-in 6-disc CD. Anyway, I took the dash piece off and unbolted the HU. It would not come out any more than about 3"... Any idea what it's hung up on? How do I get it all the way out? The Heat/AC unit is located right below it. Should that be removed?

Just give it a good tug it will come out had the same problem with mine.
