DRL Numbers

With the recent discussions of left vs. right vs. both DRLs burning out, I took a count today on my afternoon commute. In about 40 miles on I-96, when safe, I observed the following DRL counts of GM NBS full size trucks in my lane and in oncoming traffic:

 

77: NBS trucks & SUVs observed

6: Both DRLs burned out or disabled (including 2 trucks with snowplow prep)

5: Left DRL burned out

3: Right DRL burned out.

The updated heavy duty bulb has taken care of most of those burn-outs.

 

We change a ton on trucks for inspection, but we usually only have to change them once.
