Well, fastdrvr23 and I decided to give it another go and see who's truck was faster. A brief explanation: we raced (from a stop light) close to a year ago and I beat him pretty soundly. At the time, I was a month or so into my Wester's 93 hot tune and he had a cat-back exhaust and K&N panel.

However, since then a few additions have been made to each truck. I've switched from a K&N panel filter to an FIPK, and he's got an AC Delco panel filter (took the K&N out to clean it lol ... nice upgrade Will!), but most importantly, he has a shiny new Wester's 93 octane tune.

Granted the race scenario was a bit different as we did a rolling start from about 50 mph up to roughly 100 mph before encountering traffic as opposed to the redlight race, but I was quite impressed with how much better his truck performed. I wasn't surprised (I actually expected to loose), but impressed nonetheless. It was pretty much a dead tie as you can see in the pretty videos!

What are you talking about, that was all computer generated! lol

One small correction, I am running 89 octane in my truck currently, since I am really cheap, and it doesn't ping at all. 93 doesn't "feel" any different though, as my tune is still pretty conservative.

J-rod's truck is awesome. The 5.3L makes a big difference with the added torque, and the gears (3.73). It makes for a really strong combo.

I guess we need to get someone to video from a dead stop now... *sigh*

It's really easy to see my measly 3.42s at work then. lol
