headders

Hello  I was looking for some headders for my 00 silverado 5.3.  And i was looking in the 200 - 400 dollar range.  And would i be able to install them myself?  Would i have a problem with the headders messing up my computer on the truck?  Would it mess up the emission sensors?  Well let me know if you can help me with any of this thanks

Welcome to the forum.  First off, that price range is somewhat limiting for quality headers.  A good rule of thumb is get the most expensive ones you can afford.  I've heard tha people have problems w/ leaky gasket on some of the lower end headers.  They shouldn't mess up your emissions at all and without knowing how mechanically inclined you are I couldn't tell you if you could do them yourself.  I know I'd probably leave it to an auto shop.  Some good brands are: JBA, Borla, Other Guys, and a bunch more.  Here's some sites to check out:
