Express Down on the Windows...

The owner's manual says that you can bump the windows down a little at a time and that you have to hold the switch for about a second to get them to go into express down mode. Mine definitely don't act like this. I can't bump the switch fast enough for it not to go into express mode.

Is the manual wrong, or is there something wrong with my power winders?

My passenger side works the way your manual describes but my driver's side doesn't. They probably vary with how the switch acts or something.

My '04 Ext.Cab does the same thing!!!

Annoying as all hell when I just want the window down a few inches or so.

But my '05 1/2 ton crew-cab that I'm driving for a demo does not,It has a detent that lets you put the window down a little at a time.

The button on my '03 extended cab will allow me to push it half way-

or all the way down. It feels almost like a secondary switch. But it is easy to hit it all the way down. But its really not that difficult to get it down part of the way. I don't know if your switches or mine are slightly different- Oh well Maybe its a good reason to look at the '05's.

my 05 goes down instantly . I'm just going to have to get use to it. My 02 you could just bump it and it stopped. No such luck on the new rig.

I forgot to mention this is on my '03 2500HD Crew Cab.

I've tried sneaking up on it, but it doesn't appear to have any detent or halfway position.

I just thought it was odd that they would say how it works in the owners manual, but in real life it just doesn't do that.

At first I couldn't catch it either but once you get the hang of the gentle pressure needed for the manual control it's pretty easy. It took me a while to learn to not just tap it hard. Now I reserve that for when I want it all the way down.

Well, dip me in shi+ and call me stinky! It WORKS! I was able to get it to work on the way home last night...

Y'all were right, there *is* a detent. I was trying to press it quickly, not gently.

Well diped in s**t, We figured out without the GM TECH.
