Brake Lights

I have replaced the brake light switch and have checked the fuse and light bulbs (2) on one side only. I don't know if one dead bulb on either side would cause this problem? All the other lights work fine. The only other thing I can think about checking is if maybe a wirer came loose. (I had the spare tirer off a few weeks ago?)

Any suggestions.

your truck uses the same bulbs for the turn signals and brake lights, if the rear turn signals both work the bulbs and wiring back to them must be ok, the problem is probably in the turn signal switch or the wire from the brake light switch to the turn signal switch. be sure you have voltage at your brake light switch, usually the orange wire has voltage all the time, the white wire should have voltage when the pedal is pressed. the white wire then goes to the turn signal switch connector.

I got them to work..I think the problem was either the new brake switch was not in the correct postion or my trailer pigtail is bad. I will reconnect the pigtail tonight and I will know for sure. Getting the retaining clip back on is not a easy task... thanks for the suggestions.
