tranny issue?

Any tranny masters out there? I am gettin a really bad vibration in the seat and pedal in overdrive. It gets really bad if its under load or if I punch it. Also my gas mileage has dropped from 10-11 to 7-8.

 

Any ideas?

Sounds like the torque converter is going bad

Just signed up to the board and this is the reason. I also have this issue. While on the highway in a 94 4x4 k1500 when the tranny should be downshifting to a lower gear it will just feel like you are going over some rumble strips. Is there anyone else out there that has a suggestion for the reason. The only reply was that they thought it may be the torque converter. Is is possible a busted spring in the transmission? I am taking the truck from PA to TX in about 1 month and have a week to work on it before the trip. I plan to pull the motor to do some stuff, and would like to know for sure if the torque converter is the issue, or should I do a rebuild of the tranny?

I traded the truck in the first week in june. Dealer dropped new vehicle off at my work and took truck back. Had to go 2 exits and tranny blew a mile from his exit. Not sure what happened but there was obviously something wrong

Probably sun gear...they are noted for it unfortunately.

I find that really amusing that the tranny blew AFTER he dropped off your new truck, thereby taking the blame off you.

check the 2-4 servo on the side of your tranny under the fluid lines for missing or bad seals. Could it be a bad 2-4 band, maybe?
