nickle plated yoke

has anyone noticed any difference with the nickle plated yoke? i spoke with the shop today hes gonna order me one for my truck, i wanted to know if it did any good before i wasted my time going in for service.

As far as I can tell, folks are getting mixed results from the new yokes.  Last week I spoke to a man at the parts desk at the local Chevy dealer who owns a newer Silverado 1500.   The new slip yoke he had put in his truck worked for a while but then started squawking like before.  

 

Heck if they can get the new yoke and put it in under warranty I'd say go get it done.  It's no big deal to put it on-probably a 45 minute job.

If you have nothing better to do, go ahead and get it done....Otherwise, mine went about 2 weeks or so before the clunk came back.  It isn't as bad as it was before I took it in, but it also isn't all that much better.
