Footwell Lighting Install

Has anyone installed the footwell lighting that GM so thoughtfully deleted on my '04 Silverado that was standard on the the 99-'02s? I believe the socket mounts still exist beneath the outboard ends of the underside of the dash. One single-bulb dome lamp puts the dark in my dark charcoal interior.

 

Any information is appreciated.

Thats a simple looking project that I have been wanting to do to mine also. Does anyone have the part numbers for the lights from an 02.

The mounting brackets are still there on our 04 trucks.

My truck came with the glove box light, but not the underhood or footwell lights.

Hey BBSilverado - thanks for the offer, but I'm just venting. My '99 had lights at the footwells, in the glove box, and yes under the hood. I'm just PO'd that I purchased an LT package for my truck and GM has the balls to delete these little items that make the difference. How much more is it to include these items? $25 - $50, I would have paid that when I ordered my truck - at least give me the choice. They raise the prices every year, so who would notice that amount?

thats being saved for the 08 redesign
