Silverstars on 2000 Tahoe (old style)

So I decided to grab a set of the low beams and replace the burnt out PIAA in my truck.

 

I pulled out the bulb and put in the new SS and come to find out, my wiring harness won't couple to the SS bulb.

 

It's possible I got the wrong part number but the guys at the parts counter said 9005's and 9006's. I forget which ones I got, but they don't work.

 

Inside the light there's 2 strips of plastic guide like things that don't match up with my wiring harness. My old PIAA's have a single plastic guide and I think that's what's causing it to not fit.

 

Can anyone get me the specific part number for the SS's I need?

 

I saw several 9005's and 9006's - something like a 9005-ST. I know it was 9005-xx where xx is two letters.

GM has used the same part numbers for their lighting for years. not sure about the projector lights if they use the same, hope this will help

 

Lows 9006ST (ST-Silverstars)

Highs 9005ST

Fog 880ST

the 9006's are for the lows, and 9005's for the highs.

Yeah, I went out there and checked. I bought the wrong parts - but got it fixed up.
