License Plate Bracket (front)

I'm sure you remember me. TB was in an accident. Front license plate mount was installed by the body shop . OEM holders are not drilled to the front bumper right ? Do they mount from the underbelly of the bumper ? I think I've been screwed by the body shop ! Bottom line is that when I attempted to put in my plate i had no area for the holes to screw in .

Just traded my 02 Envoy for an O5 Trailblazer. Both used a black plastic bracket to mount the front plate to the front bumper. The bumper is drilled and uses plastic rivet type fasteners to hold the bracket on.

The black plastic plate holder then has two little nubs at the top to align with the top holes in the plate and is drilled at the bottom two plate mounting holes for a sheet metal screw.

Is that the info you were looking for?
