1974 Chevy C65 2 Ton Grain Truck. 72593 actual miles. Bought New by sellers father in 1974. It has a Knapide Grain box 15ft long with tip top sides. Holds approximately 400bu. of corn. It has 9000lb front axle and a 18500lb rear axle with overloads. Transmission is a Clark 5sp with a 2speed axle. 366cubic inch engine with a new carburator. Front tires are 90% rear tires 20%. It has 100gal fuel capacity. Cab Paint is original and box was repainted in the late 80's. Has rear hitch added on. Seller can be reached at 1-815-427-6068 Evenings or leave a message. just curious... Does it have air brakes? Does the Box have a hoist?

 

Our two trucks can hold a good 550-600 bu. so I don't think we'd downscale. Ours are double framed and equiped with a tag axle, but a backup truck wouldn't be too bad.

It is only a single axle and does not have air brakes. it does have a hoist and pto. In the 80's it had a front axle cheater in front of the rear axle but it was taken off when semi's became the norm on the farm. As for double framing I believe it has some double framing but I am not sure how far back. I will check and get back to you. If you are interested I can email you some pics.
