'nother newb from central GA

Howdy all

I'm Snuffy and just got my new(to me) truck home: Chevy K1500 Z-71 w/5.3, 19K and havta say I'm pretty d**n proud of it.

Drove the old one to Tampa and back at Christmas and it like to beat me all to hell. Then drove the new one home from there and could hardly believe the diff-(and I wuz worried what with it being a 4X4) got home in 6.5 hours and no back pain! Could it all be in the seats? I did notice a BIG difference when driving on concrete as opposed to asphalt(them joints wuz quite noticeable!) but otherwise it rode pretty good. And with having had 2 back surgeries, that means a lot! Trucks is certainly improved since my '91 wuz built. I could prolly live cheaper w/a 3.42 rear end but it is sho' 'nuff nice when ya tromps on the loud pedal w/a 3.73 G80. I reckon it'll be needin' some new tars 'fore too long tho...

Got lots of questions since it's my first 4X4 (well, I gots an old VW Quantum Syncro AWD but... while it goes good in snow-it cain't haul no refrigerators!) so I'll be around from time to time. Will try not to be too big of a pest.
