I have a 1999 chevy suburban 4x4 1500 and at 13000 miles had a intermittent neutral condition when excellerating from a stop. It felt like the motor was reving but the car was not moving. This was in stop and go traffic on a hot day. At 20000 miles it had a slip in 2ed or 3ed, again very intermittent. Both times it went back to the dealer and they found nothing. There is a chevy doc number #A000096A that sounds like the problem. Does anybody have any information about this? Thanks Rich.

I think I've seen some info on this, but don't know where off hand. I'll look around and see if I can find anything. It may take a day or so.

Not sure about that exact # you mention, but here is a site that gives some good info on the 4l60e and the common problems related to it. I'll have to look to see about a TSB on that too. If I find it I'll post it.

I understand that there is a fix for this now. Does anyone have the TSB numbers or other doc that I can take to the dealership? Thanks, Rich.

I know of the TSB for the 96's but not sure about the 99's. If the problem is the same then the TSB should apply. Here is a link to the archives of the Sub site thanks to #1 Son.
