Radio Flicker

We've been talking some time about the radio display flicker. Is there any uniform fix yet?

I have found that on my 01 silverado it flickers when

the dash lights are set dim but if i turn them up a little the

flicker stops. you may want to try this on yours and

see if works for you.

Standard procedure is still the same as it has been for the last several years with any sort of radio problem. The dealership will just replace your radio and send the defective unit back to Delco.

I could show you the TSB, but the site that used to have them listed got shut down...

My 02 just started flickering (4400 miles).

If I turn the dash lights intensity up it still flickers just not as noticeable.

However, it seems if it is dark enough for the headlights to be on the display does not flicker.

I am still in the process of eliminations but my thought is that it has something to do with the auto sensor that turns the headlights on, especially in morning hours or dusk, just at the point where the auto sensor can’t figure our which way to go, on or off. Maybe even a dirty light sensor.
