Odd, but useful feature

Since my ears are old, I can't hear the turn signal when left on. The other day, The chime came on and I looked down to see what the deal was. My turn signal was still on after I used it to change lanes. Turned it off, the chime stopped.

This is since I put in the new Instrument Cluster to get the tranny temp guage. Also noted that now when my Low Fuel comes on, it just might be too late to get to the gas station!!!!

Question here is, what else is programmed into the cluster?

Has nothing to do with your cluster change. As far as I know, that turn signal warning has always been in your truck. You probably just never left the turn signal on long enough before. Actually, it's not set off by time but by distance. If I recall correctly, 3/4's of a mile is the distance.

That one got me the first time too......I like it though....I hate it when people drive and drive and drive with their blinker on

It scared the crap out of me the first time that sucker started barking away. I had no idea what was going on.

the first time it happened to me i was trying to turn my headlights on and off, slamming my door, looking all around the cab for something on fire(like it was a smoke detector)then realized what it was and felt really stupid

I like that chime...I have not heard it on my truck yet, but I have on my old 96 Impala SS, and I actually just left the blinker on just to hear it after my buddy told me about it on his SS...

I would guess zero.

I just tested mine the other night. The wife wanted to know what the hell i was doing. Then, the next night, she did the same thing in her Envoy.
