Amp mounting question...

I'm trying to figure out the best way to mount my amp in my Sierra ext cab. I guess most people mount it behind the back seat which sounds fine to me, but I wondered if someone could give me an idea as to the best way with the least damage to the cab....

Thanks in advance....

I'm going to try fabricating brackets that would use the seat mounts to hold an amp rack. But there might not be enough room to make it strong enough to hold two amps. If that's the case, I'll mount the amp rack to the bulkhead. Yeah, I don't want to drill holes but GM drilled them all over the place. We just need to make sure that we have a clean install, weather proofed, bare metal treated. I would then use bolts, not screws, some body color on the bolt/nut ends for that factory look. And if anyone sticks their head between the cab and bed to gripe, I'll bonk'm one. Seat backs would be great if they folded. Are you adding subs?

Bah...Just dip the sheet metal screws in silicone before you run them through the back wall of the cab.

That's what I did anyway.

I've got two Pioneer 105DVC's and a really lousy Boss amp. As soon as I can scrape together 230$ I'll order my Hifonics BX1205D and then get to taking out my back seat.

I cut a few pieces of mdf and liquid nailed them to the back wall let it dry over night and screwed my amp rack to them.
