I was selling my fifth wheel trailer and ended up selling my 04 GMC CC 4X4 D/A with it. I ordered an 05 GMC 2500HD CC 4X4 D/A SLE on 3/18/05 with options like power fold mirrors, auto. climate control, XM radio, trailer tow, alloy wheels, 40/20/40 seat, power seat, steering wheel controls, etc. Nothing real crazy. I was wondering how long all of you think it will take it to get to Chico Ca.. I have heard 6 to 8 weeks. Look forward to hearing all your opinions on this. Also do you think the rebates will improve on the duramax diesels as May nears ?

Six to eight weeks is supposed to be the norm' but every time I've ordered a truck it took at least four months and my '97 I had took over six!

Ordered my rig on Nov.1 and got it on Dec. 17. It depends on the time of year and how busy the factories are and if their all up and runnning.

You should see it about the time diesel goes for just over $3.00 per gallon!

I was at the refinery yesterday and they (the refiners) are predicting that diesel will be more expensive than gasoline within the next two years due to the federal mandate for reduced sulpher diesel. Man, I can remember when diesel was pennies per gallon and gasoline was the expensive one....I was in the lower 48 a couple of months ago and was shocked at how much more expensive diesel was than gasoline.....but then again, nothing smells better on a crisp autumn morning than the smell of diesel exhaust in the air.

The diesel and gas prices are catching up to each other here in N. CA.. This whole oil thing is making a lot of stock brokers rich in my opinion. Unfortunately there isn't much we can do about all the hype other than quit driving. That isn't going to happen. I use my truck for work and on my ranch. The diesel affords me the option of having a 3/4 ton with the fuel milage of a 1/2 ton gasser. My 2500HD 6.0 CC SB 4X4 gets about 12.5 MPG and thats ok as we use the truck for pleasure on the weekends, but I need the better milage of the diesel while traveling at work. I put about 38000 miles a year on my truck and felt the diesel would be a better choice in the long run. I am starting to wonder now if this is the right choice.

I wondered the same thing a couple years ago when I ordered my truck and went gas, yea Diesel is expensive but gas isnt far behind. I am actually in your neck of the woods, ordered my truck thru the guys in Orland, good deal, got all the rabates at the time and just a couple hundred over invoice. I orderd on Veterens day and it was built ninth of Dec. and I took delivery two days after Christmas. Took longer from San Jose to Orland on a truck than the train from Ft. Wayne to CA.

Is that guy still around that can track your vehicle after leaves the factory? I emailed a couple years ago and he did it for me, havent heard much lately though.

I say you see it in 6 weeks ( barring any screw ups by the dealer)
