PCMFORLESS Dyno Tune

I went up to Custom Cars by Koz in Reading yesterday to meet Bryan from PCMFORLESS for a custom dyno tune for my truck. I went with a 93 octane tune because I figure I'll get about 1mpg better gas mileage, which will make the $0.20 more per gallon worth it. It will equal out to be the same cost per gallon, and will yield the best hp increases. I also had the speedo changed so that it matches my 285's.

Bryan found that my truck was running very lean with the first couple of pulls on the Dyno. He double checked everything from exhaust to intake and just determined that it must be the mass airflow sensor causing it. He said that this wasn't good for a truck to run that lean, but he could adjust it.

Here are the results. The correct numbers are at the bottom because the bar is in the wrong place:

So my 6.0L with Airaid MIT and Magnaflow exhaust was putting out 245.37 rwhp. The driveline loss of the 4L80e is 22% making it 299.35 hp at the flywheel. Pretty close to the 300HP claim, but I'm guessing the mileage (73k) cancelled out the intake/exhaust :D .

The end result after much tuning was 274.11 rwhp and the torque jumped from 271.68 to 289.67. An overall result of 28.74 rwhp and 17.99 ft/lbs of torque! :D That equates to a 35HP increase at the fly.

I couldn't get on it too well last night because of the heavy rains, but I was able to a bit today. The shifting is amazing. Bryan explained that the firmness is controlled by throttle position, so you’re not snapping your neck driving around town. But when you get on her, watch out! She even jumps a bit when shifting. The power is amazing too. It feels like a whole new truck now. I just can't wait to track down some ricers and give them a run. :fume:
