6.0L question

I guess it's mainly the fact that I'm dog tired, and up way too late to understand a few things, but, here are a few questions.

 

I want to get some power from my 6.0L; I've heard they're way undertuned from factory.

 

What's the difference in buying a chip like from hypertech, buying a programmer like the Diablo Predator, or having your PCM sent off and programmed by someone like Westers?

WHile some swear by westers, the thing I like about a Hypertech is that it allows you to easily tweak it for tire size and axle ration speedo calibration and it does not marry itself to VIN so you can remove it and use it on another vehcial the tuner works with or resell it. With a westers, it requires factor intervention to us it on anything else and not easily tweaked either.
