Shifting into gear

Does anyone else hear notice that when shifting into gear if you do not stay stopped for atleast 3-5 secs or so, it will jerk pretty hard into gear if you give it gas as soon after shifting it?I never had this issue with my zr2 which had the same tranny as this silverado does.

 

To tell you the truth this tranny is one sloppy shifting sob i think it is going to be time for either a custom tune or a shift kit cause it is starting to piss me off the way it is shifting!

Try a shift kit, should fix the slop

Yep, was told by dealer it is 'Normal'..... kinda like the Piston Slap I had on my 2002 Tahoe, that was 'Normal' also

Sounds like the slip-yoke problem to me.

My '03 was bad, they put a new nickel plated one on under warranty.
