Electric fans on 2005 Yukon. Denali also?

I have read that GM has finally switched to an electric fan on Silverado/Sierra/Tahoe/Yukon for 2005. Does this include the Denali also? I would imagine that since they went electric on the 4.8 and 5.3 engines, the 6.0 would get it also?

I am asking because my 2003 Yukon was wrecked several weeks ago. I just got it back from the repair facility, and it is horrible! So many squeaks and rattles, doors don't close right and they don't seal properly. Windows squeal when rolling down, etc... I'm going to get rid of it.

I thought I would spring for the Denali this time.

Good news is my Yukon held up quite well in the crash. Idiot in a silverado ran a red light on a highway intersection, and blasted right into my drivers door going about 55mph. We both walked away.

I just bought a 2005 Yukon XL Denali with the 6.0 L engine. Yes, there is an electric fan under the hood.

Thank you for the info. I figured as much.

I found more problems with my Yukon while driving today... front left speaker doesn't work, ignition chime "crackles" when sounding, and it drives so poorly that I don't feel comfortable driving over 65 mph.

Can't wait to get rid of this thing.

You got hit that hard in the door and the vehicle wasn't totalled?

If the repairs weren't completed to your satisfaction you are getting ripped off by the body shop or insurance company.

If you go to sell this vehicle with those problems you aren't gonna get what it was worth before the wreck. Even if you have your mind set to sell, you should raise hell until those things are fixed properly. Lot's of body shops do mediocre work because people let them get away with it.

I have made a list of the problems that weren't fixed by the body shop. I'm giving it back to them tomorrow. I told them I won't pick it up until all issues are fixed. We'll see how they do... I'm also making my insurance company aware of my dissatisfaction.
