how much labor time does gm caal for when replacing a fuel pump and sending unit assy on a 99 nbs ext cab z71?would almost like to tackle this myself but dont want to screw something up

There are a number of factors, but GM pays us roughly 2.5 hours for this repair. However, if the customer is paying for the repair, you can figure on increasing that figure by about 40%.

thanks gm tech i think i might grab a couple of buddies and attemt it also ive noticed the part stores i called only carry the pump and sending unit as one unit and not separate like the gm parts direct.do the aftermarket people not make the sender separate?the brand i priced was a carter and the parts store had 2 different ones each with a couple of letters different so i guess once you pull out the pump then you know what kind you have .thanks for your time
