I'm in the process of changing out the front Diff fluid on my 99 Silverado but no where can I find HOW MUCH fluid I will need it just tells me HOW to check the fluid level. I've already checked the owners manual and the tech article on this site, no where does it list how much fluid I will need. Anyone know?

I just changed mine in my 97 Suburban, no idea if the front axle is the same, but it took almost two quarts, and good luck filling it. Its a must to use something other than the bottle the diff oil comes in.

Yeah it took just about 2 quarts for me as well, had to do it the OLD way by filling/checking every few pumps. I purchased a small hand pump that you can get from an auto parts store that will fit on top of the oil bottle to pump it in. I plan on draining and re-filling the fluid again the next time I do an oil change.
