88 G30 Van 5.7L Stalling

My 1988 G30 Chevy Van/RV with 5.7L heavy duty engine has developed a problem while climbing hills on the interstate at speeds of 55 or greater. While climing a hill the engine seems to stall for no longer than a second resumes normal power for approximately 2 seconds and stalls again for a second in cycles. It has a fuel pump less than 6 months old. Plugs not over 2 years old. I burn only 93 octane fuel. Temps normal. Fuel filter 3 years old. (My best guess?) Timed right on the mark.

This only occurs under load at interstate speed. The Van runs great in every other way. No smoke, starts great, idles great, drives great, Uses no oil, no backfires etc. If someone could give me some advice on what to look at I would be most greatful. I guess it could also be in the tranny but it has a Turbo 400 and I changed the fluid and filter last year and both were clean and I have experienced no problems.

Thanks a million, Ed

Sounds like fuel starvation to me. Change filter and do a fuel pressure check and do not rule out that you may have another fuel pump going bad.
